Sangamo Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Sangamo Therapeutics, Inc. (previously known as Sangamo Biosciences, Inc.) is an American biotechnology company based in Brisbane, California. It applies cell and gene therapy to combat haemophilia and other genetic diseases.

An employee angrily mentioned, "Senior Management at Sangamo is clueless, and very green. The CEO has no idea how to run a company or move it in a new direction. They've repeatedly hired consultants to tell them how to run things more efficiently and create a positive culture. Each one has pointed to Senior Leadership and suggested changes only to be fired. They keep repeating this cycle until they hear what they want. So far, 3 constants later, and they all come up with the same advice only to be fired. They keeping throwing head count at problems but not changing processes, so it never gets better and there is just a revolving door. They micromanage the G&A side to death, and the politics is unbelievable for a company this size. If you work here in any non-scientific capacity be prepared to be a Stepford robot and not have any ideas of your own! Sangamo has been the worst company I've ever worked for and I'am currently looking for a new job elsewhere."

As the company is growing new people with different value are coming and conflicted with the existing value. You have to be careful there are political with lots of backstabbing. Some of these people are merciless and hold grudged they let someone go right after the person coming back from a long vacation and just before the person stock options vest causing this person to lost everything."
